Every gift and every bid will help us continue encouraging women, building community, and sharing the hope of Christ—all while raising essential funds to sustain and grow the ministry God is building through Side By Side.

Created by healthcare couples, for healthcare couples, this special weekend will be led by members of the Side By Side Executive Team and Christian marriage counselors. Through biblical encouragement, practical tools, intentional conversations, and genuine community, couples will be equipped to reconnect with one another and rediscover joy in Christ.

Grateful for the Northeast
What a gift it was to gather with our CMDA family at the CMDA Northeast Regional Retreat at Sandy Cove Ministries! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for a weekend of worship, prayer, encouragement, and sweet fellowship as brothers and sisters in Christ gathered along the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.
We were especially thankful to have our Northeast Regional Director, Julie Fernandez, share how the Lord is growing Side By Side across the Northeast and invite more women married to healers into this Christ-centered community. What a joy to see around 80 attendees—with nearly half of them medical students—coming together to seek the Lord and encourage one another for faithful service in healthcare.
As Julie shared:
“The NE yearly regional retreat in Sandy Cove, MD has just wrapped up for another year, and I am so utterly thankful to be in the NE! To see the incredible beauty of the Chesapeake Bay in fall glory and see the beauty of the CMDA NE community coming together, praying and worshipping God, was the highlight of the weekend. We had around 80 attendees, and half of them were med students! Plus, I got to reconnect with quite a few med students that had come last year. It was a privilege and joy to share at the retreat how Side By Side is growing in the NE, and how they can get connected! I cannot wait to come again next year, and if you live in the NE, I would love to see you there!”
We praise God for the relationships strengthened, the seeds planted, and the reminder that He is faithfully building His Church—even in the unique calling of healthcare. We can't wait to see what He has in store for the Northeast in the year ahead!
Side By Side Executive Retreat: a Weekend of Connection & Vision
Last month, the Side By Side Executive Team gathered at the Salt & Light Women’s Retreat for a meaningful time of connection, prayer, and vision for the future of our ministry.
We’ve heard from so many of you who long for a retreat where Side By Side sisters can come together, step away from the demands of healthcare life, and be refreshed in community. We hear your hearts, and we’re excited to explore what that could look like!
Our time together included worship, prayer, meaningful work, wonderful teaching, and a little sunshine and relaxation, too. Most of all, it gave us space to listen, dream, and seek the Lord’s direction for this incredible community of women married to healthcare professionals.
We don’t know all that He has planned, but we’re trusting Him to lead the way and looking forward to seeing where He takes us!
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support as we serve this community together. We’re so grateful to be part of what God is doing through Side By Side!

Prayer Hour
Before we rise, we bow.
The third Mondays of November and December fall during the holiday season, so we will be taking a break from our SBS Prayer Hour gatherings.
But please know that the prayers will continue! Our SBS Prayer Team will remain faithful to our usual rhythm of bringing your requests before the Lord.
As we enter this busy holiday season, we would love to know how we can be praying for you. Please share your requests with us, and know that you are not walking this journey alone. What a gift it is to carry one another to the Lord in prayer!
