A Note from Rebecca

When I think about September, I think about fresh starts. New rhythms settle in, new routines form, and often new opportunities unfold. That is exactly what I see happening in Side By Side right now.

God is stirring something fresh in our ministry. From the joy of new chapters being planted to the launch of our Prayer Hour, He is reminding me that He is always doing a new thing. Even our Executive Team retreat later this month feels like a chance to pause and say, “Lord, we are listening. Show us what is next.”

Wherever you are serving this month, I pray you sense His nearness and His invitation to step with joy into what He has for you. The story He is writing through Side By Side is not finished, and I love that we get to be part of it together.

Prayer Hour Launch 
We are thrilled to invite all women in the medical community to the launch of the Side By Side Prayer Hour—a new monthly space dedicated to intercession and cultivating a spirit of prayer.

Date: Sunday, September 15

Whether you're brand new to prayer or have walked with God for years, this time is for you. We’ll begin with a brief teaching offering prayer tools, resources, and formats to help you deepen your prayer life. Then, we'll move into breakout rooms where we can support one another in prayer—lifting up the women in our community and the global ministry of Side By Side. Mark your calendar, grab a quiet spot, and come expectant for how God will move.

 GMHC- Global Missions Health Conference

The Global Missions Health Conference (GMHC) is coming up soon and Side By Side will have a presence again this year. This conference is a beautiful space where healthcare and mission intersect, and we are thrilled to encourage and connect with women who attend.

Welcome Charleston, West Virginia

We are excited to celebrate the launch of a brand-new Side By Side chapter in Charleston, West Virginia! 

Led by Jenny Goad, this chapter is passionate about offering a safe, welcoming space where women can connect and grow in community.

We’re grateful to see God expanding Side By Side in the Northeast and can’t wait to see how He uses this new community in the months ahead! 

Executive Team Prayer Request 

From September 28–30, our Side By Side executive team will gather in Bristol, TN at CMDA headquarters for a time of rest, connection, and vision casting. This retreat will include:

-Time with CMDA leadership

-Team development and spiritual refreshment

-Introducing our newest members to CMDA’s heart and mission

We’ll make space to reflect on what God is doing through Side By Side, listen together for His direction—especially regarding future staffing and ministry expansion—and strengthen our relationships with one another. At its core, this will be a discipleship retreat.
