Chapter Re-Launch- Louisville, Kentucky
We are so excited to share that Side By Side – Louisville, Kentucky is officially re-launching!
We are especially grateful to Austyn Dowell for stepping into leadership and helping bring this chapter back to life. We’re excited to see how God uses Side By Side in the Louisville community to encourage, equip, and connect with women in medical/dental marriages.
Please join us in welcoming Austyn and celebrating the return of the Louisville chapter! We’re so thankful to have this chapter back in the Side By Side family and look forward to all that is ahead.

We’re excited to share that our Side By Side Executive Team will soon be gathering for our annual retreat at Salt & Light 2026 – Chasing Sunsets in Tampa Bay!
Salt & Light is a women’s conference designed to help women step away from the noise, encounter God’s presence, build meaningful friendships, and return home refreshed and encouraged in their faith. We’re looking forward to worship, biblical teaching, time together, and plenty of opportunities to connect and breathe.
Our retreat will also give us dedicated time to pray, connect as a team, grow in our faith, and strategically plan for the future of Side By Side.
CMDA Northeast Regional Conference
We’re excited to share that the Northeast Regional Conference is coming up October 23–25 at the beautiful Sandy Cove Conference Center in North East, Maryland!
This year’s theme is Faith & Healthcare Connected, featuring Dr. Brick Lantz, CMDA Vice President of Advocacy and Bioethics. With decades of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, bioethics advocate, and medical director of a pregnancy center, Dr. Lantz will bring wisdom and a deep faith perspective to some of the most important issues facing Christian healthcare professionals today.
The weekend will include focused prayer, worship, teaching, encouragement, meaningful community, and time to consider how our faith shapes the way we practice healthcare. It’s a wonderful opportunity for healthcare professionals at every level of training and practice—and a great weekend to invite a colleague or classmate!
Side By Side at the Conference
We’re especially excited that Side By Side will have a presence at the conference! On Friday evening, Side By Side Northeast Regional Director Julie Fernandez will have an opportunity to share about Side By Side with those attending. She will also have information available throughout the weekend, including a table during Saturday lunch where women can connect and learn more about the ministry.
If you’re attending, come find us! Julie will be easy to spot—look for the Side By Side pink shirts!
We’d love to connect with CMDA women from across the Northeast and share more about how they can get involved with Side By Side in their communities!
